News and Updates for Whiteoak and Laurelen
Huge News! Brett's daughter, Acres Flats Maybe Tomorrow (Tara) won her class at the 2007 ASSA National Specialty! We are very proud of her. Check her out on her page or the Brett kids page.
Big news at Laurelen... Through the generosity of Luann Buehneman Shelties, we came home from the Indianapolis Specialties with a new family member. We now have a much needed Ricky daughter bred by Luann. She looks very promising, and since she was born on Ron's birthday,we hope that increases the odds. We will have pictures soon.
She is called Lulu for now, since, if she turns out,  she will be called
Laurelen Buheneman Lucie Arnaz (of course!)  Click on her name to see her page.
Dill Pickles lost his battle with cancer on December 23,2007.
We miss him so much.
Jan. 13th Brett was BOB AND on to a Group 4 at the Central Kentucky Herding Club Specialty. There were 15 of the 19 Herding dogs in the group, so it was a nice placement. He was handled all the way by Lauren.
Lulu wins WB/BW/BOB/Group 4 for two points.
Breed judge was respected breeder judge Katie Gammill.
Brett was BOB for five straight days at the Blue Grass Classic Shows in Lexington, KY. He polished off the week by going Group 3 on Labor Day!!! We were quite proud of him, since he was soooo naked, and not in his fall/winter clothes. Brett was handled by Jessica Starbuck.  Ricky's other son who was there was RWD every day until Monday, and finally got WD! On Sat Ricky's grandson from Buehneman Shelties was WD..Nice weekend for our 'family'.
Meet the newest addition at Laurelen , "Reba". She is on the small side, but we are hoping for her to grow into her personality.
News from the 2009 National Specialty......

She was in the final ten. Then, on Friday, Brett WON the VERY competitive Stud Dog class with the two beautiful puppies from Solange Shelties. On Saturday, Brett went through all the cuts all the way to the AOM selection in BOB class! We were so proud of him. It was a very good week, and we felt very proud of our breeding programs.
